HAWAII PICTURES!!

Aloha!
As most of you know, I went to Hawaii this summer (July 2013). Sadly, my iPod was crashing/malfunctioning while on the trip, so it only saved about 12 of the 50  pictures I took. :(
Here are the best ones - enjoy!

Here is a gate at Ilolani Palace.
           The colors were so vibrant!

This was in the "courtyard" of the USS Arizona monument

I think this was taken from our hotel balcony (we stayed at he Hilton Hawaiian Village)

By the bathrooms at the USS Arizona monument

On the hotel grounds (a strip of Waikiki Beach)
This was taken on the first day of our vacation. See the rainbow?

This picture was (obviously) taken on the plane. I was SO exited to finally see Hawaii!

Aloha,
A.C.

Hey everyone!

Hey!

I'm SOOOO sorry I haven't been blogging at all lately.
I was sick for a little while and I've been SO bogged down with school work. (it's crazy how much school I have to do!) I'm trying to get back into the roll of blogging at least once a week.
(Hey well this kinda counts as a post...right?!? JK)

Well thank you for taking the time to continue to read my blog! It means A LOT!!

Thanks again,
A.C.

You know you are a dancer when...

Hey all!
Here's a post for all my fellow dancers out there!

You Know You Are A Dancer When...
1. People notice when you have your hair down
2. Your excuse for things is "I have dance"
3. You have 5 pairs of dance shoes and 3 pairs of street shoes (or something like that)
4. You are more concerned about getting to the next level in ballet then you are about school pictures
5. When you go shopping, its at a dance store
6. (if you take ballet) French is your second language (if it's not already your first)
7. You know how to apply false eye lashes before you are ten
8. When you are doing your homework, you stretch in the splits
9.You have to clip your toenails strait across (if you are on pointe)
10. Your dance bag is just as full as your backpack

My not so new shoes....

Hey!

About 4 months ago I said I was going to do a post on my "new shoes". Sadly, I haven't gotten around to posting the picture until now... (not good - sorry)

They are Vans that I got at Goodwill for $8! What a find! I had been REALLY wanting a pair of Vans for a long time. I never thought I would buy a pair of shoes at Goodwill.
I was with my Aunt, when I decided to browse the shoe section for my sis, who was in the hospital. Sure enough, I spotted these and wanted to do a squeal of joy and a happy dance right there in Goodwill!

The white shoes laces were replaced with neon green ones.

Thanks Goodwill (and Vans) for giving me a pair of shoes that I  can wear all the time!

3 outfits 4 colors

                                                                Here's the first look.

The dress  has small black and white checks with a velvet collar. There's a little bow in the front as well.

                                                              Here's the second look.

It's a Rugby shirt dress that I got from my Grammy A LONG time ago. There's a white cami peeking out from underneath.

                                                                      Here's the third look.

The last look is a cargo shirt dress. It's paired with a navy blue sweater.
The books are:
Talking Time, by Louise Binder Scott and J.J. Thompson
and
My Utmost for His Highest , by Oswald Chambers
(sorry Alyssa, you kinda look like a ghost in the one with the books...)

Ending Notes:
Sorry the photos are so bad. I don't have a camera of my own - YET! I have to take all the pictures with my iPod touch. :(
Also, a big THANK YOU to my little sis for being my model in 100+ degree weather!

A.C.

P.S. I had planned on including one more outfit, but because of the temperatures outside, it was just too hot...

History Geek =]

Ciao! (hello in Italian)
*(I was trying to think of a different greeting, when I noticed the connection with the topic! They are both Italian!)*

quick info:
Have you ever heard of the Medici Family? The Medici lived in Florence Italy back in the time of the Renaissance. They were bankers and according to most authorities on the subject, they were also swindlers. They were a very powerful family for over 300 years.

Well I could rattle all night long about History and the Medici family, so I guess I should get to my point for this post!

A museum by my house (Bower's Museum) is having an exhibit on the Gems of the Medici!
Since they were so powerful they had a lot of money to spend!!

Sorry for being so random and everything!

P.S. I have to remind myself never to try and post something past 10 pm!

What's to come....

Hey people!!

So yesterday I started to revamp my old clothes! I've been doing little DIY projects for about a year now.
I finally found some really good videos and  blogs/websites that helped my get my DIYing off the ground!
(I'll show pics later)

I also did a photo shoot with my sister! It was sorta "back-to-school' inspired.
I don't have time to download the pics right now....I'm still working on them.

Well I'm off to the beach! Hope to catch some waves on MY NEW SURFBOARD!!!

School is starting + Happy Labor Day

Hey all and welcome back to school!
One week after Hawaii I headed out for a road trip to Utah. My aunt and uncle (and my cousins) are Christian missionaries there. Their church website is here - check it out!! I love their church so much!
I started school about a week ago. I meant to blog...yet time always slips away from me. About halfway through the summer I promised my mom that if I could redo my room, I would keep it clean.  So far it's worked pretty well! I might post some pics when I'm fully done painting. My cousin and his family went to New York this summer. While there, my cousin (who is 16) entered a Lego contest. He was named one of the 40-some odd winners!!! YAY! He gets to have his Lego creation next to another Lego artist (if that's what you want to call it) in Time Square! This is his SECOND Lego win! Pretty cool!

I'm starting a science class tomorrow. It's going to be hard...but I'm up for the challenge! Since I'm home schooled, my mom was going to buy a curriculum for science. (The science class I took last year is not being offered this year.) I asked if there was any other science class I could take that would be a little more challenging. That is how I got enrolled in the Biola Star classes!

Today consisted of going to Soup Plantation (one of my families favorite restaurants), and then going shopping for some fall/school clothes! (that's always fun!)

bye for now....

P.S.

My Dad's birthday was yesterday!! hehe!

International Nail Art Day!

Hello!

I learned about International Nail Art Day (August 3) by reading some nail art blogs that I follow.
Here is the first blog I read it on: chalkboard nails!
I did a few manis, but the pics didn't turn out as well as I thought they would.
(they might get included some time in the future...though most likely not.)

Instead of me showing you my nail art, here's what I think....
YOU SHOW ME YOUR NAIL ART!!!!
I'll have a belated INAD post featuring reader's nail art!
(START SENDING ME E-MAILS!!!!!)

Btw: I know e-mailing is totally 'old school' for most of us...but hey, that's how I'm doing it!

You can send your mani or pedi pics and the names of the nail polish etc. you used to everythingangelac@gmail.com!

Can't wait!

Ideas + why I like saying 'hello'....

Hey!

Some of you might be wondering why I always start my posts off with a greeting like hey, aloha, or hello. It's just a simple way of saying, 'Hello, I'm glad you decided to stop by.' I always like to be greeted with a hello or hey.  I'm not sure what just happened to you before you decided to read my blog. Maybe you just became an aunt, or you just broke up with your boyfriend. Just a simple greeting can change someone's mood almost instantly. The hello that you read on here might be your only one of the day. So let me say it again...hello.

Now back to the real reason for this post....

I want this blog to appeal to a wide range of people. I think it's more fun for me and more fun for you if I write about a verity of things. *now comes the fun part* I would like to get YOUR feed back and ideas on what I should write about. Hopefully by doing this, you as a reader will enjoy what I write....because you helped me write it!

If you want to give me ideas for posts read below.

Rules and things:
1. I'm not going to use all of the suggestions
2. Your suggestions will have to be "rated G" (If you don't get what I'm saying, leave a comment)
3. If I can find out more about the topic you have chosen by looking at a website, please include that in your suggestion
4. You can either leave your suggestion in a comment or e-mail me at everythingangelac@gmail.com

Also, please comment or e-mail me any questions you may have!

Up Date:

Aloha!

here's an up-date:

So I came back from Hawaii exactly one week from yesterday. (bitter-sweet)
I know I haven't posted stuff in like A LONG time. I'm going to start it up again...hopefully.
When school starts the posts will probably die down again....I'm just committed to school work and getting good grades! I'll be posting pics of our trip plus some other fun stuff! Now I just have to find the time to do it!!

My summer has been a busy one. First with my papa getting sick, then my ballet show, the next surprise was my dad getting sick only days before we left for Hawaii - the last part to my busy summer.
It's been fun yet stressful...that's how my life has always been. I'm always trying to keep balance between the two.

From Friday through Saturday I got to go to my very first 'lock-in' with my youth group! (it's a retreat for the jr highers and high schoolers. The only difference is that they stay at their church.) I attend a different church on Sundays, and go to my youth group at a different church. (I just like it better)

Then Sunday my dad FINALLY consented to our family getting Facebook!! (don't get on my case! I have wanted it for a LONG time!!!)

Yesterday (Monday) we went to a place called scooter's jungle. It's an indoor inflatable jumper place (hard to explain but totally awesome) After that, I went to ballet. It was the first ballet class I'd had since my show!

Today my family and I are going to watch the new movie Turbo! Sounds fun!
I might do a little 'review' sort of thing after the movie...

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog! :D
It means more than any words could say!

Peter Pan - Ballet Style!

Hey!
So last night was my last performance of the Peter Pan Ballet!
I dance at Elite Dance Academy of Orange County (it's a click-able)!
I performed as a fairy and an Indian! They make it so fun! The studio is like on big happy family! I have pics of my costumes but I'll show them to you a little later.

****And the countdown to Hawaii is officially in the EXTREME....2 days to go!!!!!!!****

A.C.

DIY tavel nacklace holder! :)

1) Find a small snack box and scissors
2) Cut the bottom, top, and sides off. You should just have either the front or the back of the box
3) Turn the cardboard around (if you want to decorate it...now's a good time). Make lines about 1 inch apart
4) Make slits on those lines. Then make slits on the opposite side.
5) If you are using chain necklaces, make sure to put them on the smallest ring.
6) Place the clasp over the slit. (It should slide in easily)

7) Do the same with the bottom.
And there ya have it!!

My Clown Shirt!

Hey there!

Here's a shirt that I have been meaning to show you guys for a long time....
(the left is the front and the right is the back)

Some of My Summer Clothes...

Here's my Easter dress! The bottom picture is a close-up of the lace back. (The picture on the left is the best...)

Here are some clothes that I got with gift cards!  I will most likely bring them on our Hawaii trip...
As you can see, I took two angles of the Cali. Love...I just had to!
The Cali. Love shirt and the dress are both from Target (believe it or not!)
Both of the necklaces and the floral blouse are from Forever 21!

Enjoy!

****The EXTREME countdown continues at a whopping 10 days till we head for paradise!!!!****

4th of July 2013

Hey all!
I know it's kinda weird to be writing about the 4th of July when it's July 5th!
(I was extremely busy at my Grandma's house ALL day....and had no WiFi)

For all my international readers who are wondering what the 4th of July is....this is for you. (it's to the point, but not worthy of the history books....)

The 4th of July is not just a day in the month of July in the United States of America.....it's the day we declared our independence from England! (sorry England....we still love you!) Some of us even call it Independence Day! Today, most of my fellow Americans (and I most of the time) just think of it as a time to eat watermelon, wear shorts, watch fireworks, swim or take part in some sort of water games, and enjoy the (usually) warm weather!

Now on to the real reason I'm writing this post....
I have a picture that my friend sent me that I just had to share with you guys!
I'm not exactly sure how she did it, but it's quite creative!

 Here ya go!

****And the EXTREME countdown continues with only 12 more days before we head for HAWAII!!!!!****

Papa in ICU...

Hi!

Here's the scoop:
My Grandpa (we all call him Papa) has been in ICU since last Tuesday.
(like I mentioned in another post)
He had a kidney and bladder infection that spread throughout his body and into his blood stream.
He had to be put on a breathing machine thing. He had it for about a week. He got it out yesterday, though
he's still in the ICU. He will be moved to another room in a few days!
He's been enjoying foods that are on his "list".

More updates to come!
A.C.

(sorry this post wasn't that long)
